Betty's Tea Room

Every time I come back to the UK, visiting York is a must - because of Betty's Tea Room. Seriously, they serve the best scones on earth! The scone's texture is not dry, unlike those I tried elsewhere. The clotted cream is rich even though it is served cold. You can see from the picture above added a lot of clotted cream plus the strawberry jam on my scone. I know, calories........but I don't care! Also, their tea room blend is unbeatable, with a very reasonable price - £3.95 for a paper box contained of 80 tea bags! I ended up with 4 boxes to bring home.


每當我回到英國，到訪約克是一個必須的因為貝蒂茶室，他們有最好的烤餅！烤餅不會乾，不像我在其他地方試的。Clotted cream是豐富的，即使它是冷的。你可以從上面的圖片中看到我加了大量的奶油加草莓果醬塗在我的烤餅。我知道，好高熱量........但我不在乎！此外，他們的茶是無與倫比的，非常合理的價格 - 3.95英鎊一個盒中包含的80個茶葉袋！最後我買了4盒帶回家。

Very Isabel-Marant-ish

Regarding to my previous post, I understand not everyone can afford Isabel Marant, like me. So I decided to make a post on this - shoes that are Isabel-Marant-ish.

Cowboy - Isabel Marant

I think casually chic is the best term to describe Isabel Marant. Cowboy boots, the high-top sneakers and the dicker ankle boots...YES PLEASE! However, I would also say YES to other items from both  ISABEL MARANT and ÉtOILE Isabel Marant. 

 我認為隨便得來別緻，是描述Isabel Marant最好的術語。牛仔靴，高跟運動鞋和踝靴！不過，我也喜歡ISABEL MARANT和ÉTOILE ISABEL MARANT的其他產品。

The Devil Wears Prada

I watched The Devil Wears Prada a few years ago, when I was still an innocent kid with no fashion knowledge at all.

So, it's playing on Pearl (one of the English channel in HK) when I was finding something to watch. 

This movie was out in 2006. Watching it again after 6 years, I don't find it outdated. 

Anna Hathaway is stunning, as usual. What she wears in the movie (after she became stylish) are just wardrobe staples, white shirt, pull-over plus the necklace. 

幾年前我看穿著Prada的惡魔時，我還是一個沒有任何時尚知識的孩子。

因此，當我在找節目看的時後發現明珠台在播（一個香港的英語頻道），就再回味一下。

這部電影是2006年的。現在6年多後再重溫，都不覺得它過時。

Anna Hathaway像往常一樣是美麗漂亮的。在影片中她穿什麼（她變時尚後）都是衣櫃裡一定要有的，白色襯衫，毛衣還有項鍊。

J'adore 3.1 Phillip Lim

Seriously, the comic-inspired sweaters and clutches by 3.1 Phillip Lim are seen on almost all fashion bloggers!

Phillip Lim has caught my eyes in its recent collections. The Cody Dorsay Heels, Pashli Satchel, Pashli Mini Satchel (the see through PVC version is simply perfection) and, last but not least, the comic-inspired sweaters and clutches.
I was going to get myself a pair of this Cody Dorsay heel but you know, Phillip Lim's products run out fast, especially during the sale. I know, I know........I should act quicker.
So this time, I will try not to let them all hold by others hand nor stick under others arm.

This come with Navy as well. I like how this sweater have almost every colours combined beautifully together.

And this, I'm speechless.

I think I do need this mini Pashli Satchel, I just can't get enough by just owning the normal sized Pashli Satchel.

Greets from my Bobby

The sold-out-everywhere Isabel Marant sneaker has caught my eye that I searched everywhere for the Betty and Bobby. Since I have never had anything from Isabel Marant before(yeah...I know I should have), I dropped by the Hong Kong Isabel Marant store to have a peek.
Any sneakers are nowhere to be found in the store so I asked the sales. They kindly showed me some pictures of them and then went back to the storage. ALL OF THEM ARE SOLD OUT, with no doubt. Luckily, she found the blue bobby for me to try on. (YES I now know what size should I be getting)
I walked out the store happily. Frankly, I do feel happy about not getting a pair of them from the store because I always have a feeling that everything are sold cheaper online, however, I do feel worried at the same time - what if there is none of them left apart from eBay?
Thanks to Matches Fashion, I can finally own a pair of this eyes catching red bobby, the first item I got from Isabel Marant. (This is the only colour I found so I got no choice actually)

A few days later, net-a-porter came with this black snake effect Boston and I fainted a little bit - HUGE DECISION. I quickly finished the payment to avoid it being sold out.

About a week or so, I still cannot make up my mind (I don't wanna keep both...I just don't), even though I have asked tons of my friends for advices and also the pros&cons of them. Black: goes with more and simple but nothing too special and the snake effect is not very obvious while Red: eyes-catching and different from ordinary but does not go with everything.

In the end, I returned the Boston to net-a-porter because I fancy red more.
So a little advice for all of you: When you cannot make up your mind, just follow your heart; what do you like or don't like. I have heard different options on the sneaker but everyone's opinion diversed. I am not saying do not ask/listen to what others said, it's just don't solely depends on others views, it will only cause more confusions.

Sorry for the delay

Ok so sorry for didn't keep you guys updated.
Something happened recently which I feel like I should share with you all online shoppers.

As a frequent online shopper myself, my main concerns are delivery duration and delivery cost. If an online shopping website provides me both, I will always stick with the website. Are these your concerns as well? Share your main concerns while doing online shopping below :)

So recently, I have made a purchase from Topshop. I love Topshop, trendy and affordable. I usually have it shipped to the UK because I am staying there most of my time for my study. But not this time, during my summer holiday. So I have ordered 3 items in total. They sent me a confirmation email that they have charged me for 3 items. However, after a few days, I received another email from them saying only 2 of my items are shipped to me and they didn't charge me with the third item. I rang the customer service just now, and their explanation is that their website experienced a number of people ordering the same item so the system cannot response that quick and fail to show the number in stock.

I am very disappointed that Topshop disappoint a customer like this. I am sure people who had this experience before will know how I feel right now. The thing that bothers me is the shipping cost. I would not combine it into 1 order if I do not mind to ship it in separately.

After experiencing this, I have to remind my friends the inefficiency and unresponsiveness of Topshop's website. Also, be prepare to disappointments when placing an order with Topshop because you might be purchasing nothing after all.

Hello again

I know. It has been T-O-O long!! I'll try to update my blog more often.
Wish everyone had a great new year.
Can you believe it's almost the end of February? Which means my year 1 second term is gonna end soon haha and also I'm going home soon :) hm...well even though I'm not very looking forward to that :/ I do miss home, but I just don't feel like going home for Easter.
So, I think it's better to conclude what I have been doing with pictures....
