LAST BIT OF 2013

Putting on my new and comfy T by Alexander Wang sweater I got from net-a-porter sale today to brave the wet and windy weather here in London (I extremely love the ribbed trims detail - edgier than your normal sweater), together with an old plaid scarf to brighten my outfit and, of course to brighten up the dull weather.

IT DOES RING THE BELL

While I was doing a mandatory routine of checking new arrivals on zara.com, some items does remind me of other designer pieces.

This lace up trouser, I think I saw this on the popular collaboration of Isabel Marant pour H&M. Oh, not exactly, this is no leather.

Don't tell me this doesn't ring the bell! Just look exactly the same with the twist dress by T by Alexander Wang.

How about this? That oversized Acne sweater you remember?

You can find them all on zara.com and you're very welcome :)

CELINE MUCH?

Thanks to Celine, plaid is definitely in this season. No offences, but the pattern of those coats and turtlenecks by Celine, and the bag I saw on a blogger today remind me of those nylon bags I owned, great for moving houses and storage because its material durability. It's light, strong, and most importantly, it's economically affordable! They also come in different sizes that there must be one fits your needs.

Those plaid patterns came with various shape and are everywhere in my hometown, take a look:

A little bit of background on the origin of this Red, While Blue bag (That's exactly how we called it in Hong Kong): Red, white and blue canvas existed back in the 1950s, main purposes are to protect large squatter area residents as a barrier by wind and rain. Until the early 1960s, the canvas then transformed  into red, white and blue plastic bags, it is widely used in daily life. Hong Kong's economy boosted in the 70s and 80s, but economy was relatively backward in China. Lots of people started using these bags, loaded with goods to bring it to relatives in China. At that time, red, white and blue bags were linked with relatives. The bag soon developed into more patterns in the 90s.

This also reminds me that Louis Vuitton made an exact same one few seasons ago

If you are into the plaid but couldn't afford Celine nor Louis Vuitton to stay in trend, I can sell you the authentic red, white, blue bag with a very good deal! They are great for travels, schools, markets and work!

SCARVES FOR LIFE

I always wear a scarf!  I just can't bear the cold when I do not have a scarf wrap around my neck, or do I just feel uncomfortable without a scarf? Keeping your neck warm does make you feel warmer!! What's more important is that it's so versatile. Transforming it into a blanket when the thin cloth provided by airlines don't do their job (they are never thick enough unless you're in business class or first class), covering your month and ears while braving the storm.....

Because of that, I only wear big and thick scarves, which I found difficult to find one. (I have been sticking with my comfy huge scarf that my mum bought be from Japan for more than 3 years now, I just can't live without it. I got new ones but it's not as good and doesn't wrap quite right.)

It's time to hunt for a new love. And I came across these blankets when I was casually browsing Zara Home. length - check, width - check, material - check and now it's just my bank account.......

DINNER BY HESTON BLUMENTHAL

Anthony always wanted to try The Fat Duck but of course we are put off by the price, and want to save  to save it to a special occasion. So, we went to Dinner by Heston Blumenthal instead. (both restaurant are owned by Heston Blumenthal so it will be the same right?)

''A trip to Dinner by Heston Blumenthal won't be complete without trying the meat fruit." AND I TRULY THINK THAT'S RIGHT! With its appearance of a mandarin, it's filled with chicken liver and foie gras parfait, and grilled bread of the side. I wasn't a big fan of that, and expected it to be like those I tried before. But I was so wrong. The bread itself is so soft and crispy at the same time, topped with the meat fruit, it's simply heavenly, no jokes!

Another highlight of the meal is the liquid nitrogen ice-cream made right next to your table. It's not my first time to see the making of liquid nitrogen ice-cream but the whole experience is just magical, like it's dedicated to you! There are 4 different toppings, and we chose apple popping candy and dried cranberries. Also, the ice-cream cone taste so good, it's different from the normal cones trust me (though I forgot what's it made of :P sorry).

Maybe I should stop...it's making me hungry......xx
