SEA OF LAVENDER

On tight budget that going to South of France is always just a dream? That you'll never witness lavender and sunflower in bloom? Worries no more! Grab your train ticket, have your google map ready, get on the train, and after 45 minutes, you'll reach the Mayfield Lavender Field for just around £8.

However, since it's already fall in London, harvest time has passed and the field no longer open to public. Next year maybe?

PLAIN WHITE TEE

My current fav plain white tee by SkarGorn. 

Found this accidentally while I was in Tokyo. Thought it was by a Japanese brand that I kind of regret not getting more. Until I came home and remove it from its dust bag weeks after, the large brand name finally caught my attention, which means my worries are such a waste of time. 

Though basic tees have already flooded my wardrobe, I still can't help myself from getting this non-sheer plain-white-T.

LAZY OR WHAT?

So I've been home for more than a month now and I can feel things are different in many ways. 

First of all, it's the way I dress. 

Why is that? Hmm....possibly it's:

1. Climate and weather changes

Yes it's still hot and humid in Hong Kong. It's not possible to wear skinny jeans, like never, under this kind of weather. Therefore, the only options are shorts, skirts and dress, or maybe boyfriend jeans sometimes. However, you think you survive the sun with tank tops and shorts/skirts and you think you had the perfect outfit for the day? Whey, there are always shopping malls to prove you wrong! 

2. Stares of the people 

People on the street just keep staring at you when you wear something they think it's weird/different. And my love for plain white tees/tops need to be stopped because of the Sheerness that conservative parents would not agree with. 'Change it to something else or bear with the creepy stares.' 

Advices on non-sheer plain white tops are much needed, so please drop me a comment if you know any. 

3. Wardrobe arrangements

People with limited wardrobe space would understand, and with too much clothes would understand even better. The feeling when you can't hang all the shirts/jackets/coats/blazers/dress that need to be hanged. The feeling when you can't even open a drawer without destroying the tidiness of the folded clothes? All the problems caused difficulties to find my outfit for the day. So by eliminating this wardrobe issues, I need more clothing spaces as well as more spaces for my shoes. 

But sadly, I do not think I have the ability to change any of these just yet.

MEMORIES OF LONDON

Skinny types of trousers or jeans are always a great idea, more like a classic I would say. However, I tend to consider comfy-ness more nowadays, slouchy pants are more like my kind of thing. And therefore, culottes are a must-have in my wardrobe this season.

I seldom wear nude colour items, so this is the first ever nude piece in my wardrobe! It seems to work with almost every colours, and it's very suitable for summer as well. I know I'm a bit late for wearing nude, but hey....better than never.

Ruffle

After almost a month of travelling, I'm finally back in London for a week. 

Although I miss travelling, it's great to see familiar places in London and exploring new places.

However, still staying at home most of the time except going to yoga classes since Anthony still got 1 more exam to go.

This was taken a month ago. 

Long sleeves is definitely not allowed under the current hot weather in UK.

BONNIE GULL SEAFOOD SHACK

I was just flicking through tripadvisor, and found this seafood restaurant was highly ranked. I was debating with Anthony which restaurant should we go for Friday lunch, and I'm happy we decided Bonnie Gull because we were not disappointed.

To start with, we ordered the clams to share. This is a bit salty compare to the one we had at Barrafina, which had a hint of sourness to increase your appetite. Also, the clams are in the small size, the meat are too thin.

For mains, I had the whole cornish crab and Anthony has the sea bass. The crab was HUGE, would recommend for sharing. It was plentiful and filling, also it was super fresh. Simply amazing. The sea bass didn't let us down either, it was so fresh and cooked beautifully. 

Okay, and the most amazing part of the meal was the OYSTERS. Me and Anthony were never oysters lovers. Since everyone was raving about it. Plus, countless times of listening to people saying how good oysters taste, we tried those at borough market like a year ago. And honestly, I really don't get it what's all the hype about. BUT I gave it another go at Bonnie Gull just because I trust their seafood LOL. AND I was so happy I did. 

The staff was very informative and patient in explaining different types of oysters on their menu. I went for the Loch Ryan. We only ordered one to try how it taste. I instantly fell in love with it seriously. 'I finally understand why people are crazy about oysters. You'll love it after trying this.', I told Anthony. He was tempted, and ordered 3 more. And he agreed with me. It's not salty. It's firm and chewing since the meat is quite plumped (you can see it from the picture below). OMG, I'm in love.

Yet, the best seafood restaurant I've been to and would definitely revisit.
